Membership Application Process

The application process requires you to register on the Australian Canoeing membership system. Select Western Australian and Bayswater Paddlesports Club and complete the registration form. Select the appropriate Club Category (Membership Type) based on your age and whether you are a current member of a club affiliated with Canoeing WA.

The membership year runs from 1st October to 30th September. Applications made from 1st April to the end of the membership year receive a 50% discount on the Membership Fee.

NOTE: There is a once-off Nomination Fee of $50 (not discounted) which covers an entire family. This must be selected once by checking the Nomination Fee in the list of Club Extras on the registration form.

Volunteering at club events

Your club is run by volunteers. To ensure that the workload does not fall to just a few members, it is a condition of membership for adult members to volunteer at either a club function or to be a member of the club’s Management Committee. Please select your preferred volunteer activity from the list on the registration form.

Payment

You can pay the Membership and Nomination fees online by credit/debit card or by EFT to the club’s account. Select your preferred payment method on the Payment Summary page.

Application Approval

Your application will be reviewed by the Committee. You will be notified once it has been completed. There will be an induction at the club to ensure you are familiar with the facilities and the craft you can use, the basic paddle strokes, that you are safe on the water etc.
